What is PRP treatment

The PRP treatment is a technique involving a collection of your own blood and separating its components through a centrifuge that turns your platelets into plasma.

We then inject your plasma into the targeted area which will help to stimulate new cell growth and stimulate tissue regeneration which will improve your complexion and skin texture, we then micro-needle the rest of the plasma into your full face which is great for skin hydration and restoring a youthful and healthy glow.

PRP can be used as a new therapeutic option for hair loss including androgenetic alopecia and female pattern hair loss, either as a monotherapy or an adjuvant to conventional therapy or hair transplantation. PRP is also considered a safe, effective, steroid sparing, and alternative treatment for alopecia areata.

FAQs

Does hair get thicker with PRP?

Yes, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) can help thicken hair by improving the blood flow to the hair follicles. Unlike prescription drugs, PRP has little or no known side effects.

How painful is PRP for hair?

Why am I losing more hair after PRP?

What is the downside of PRP?

After the procedure, you may experience some soreness and bruising at the injection site. Because PRP injections are made up of your own cells and plasma, the risk of an allergic reaction is much lower than with other injectable medications like corticosteroids.

Is PRP better than minoxidil?

The study involved 69 male participants divided into three groups. Improvement in hair condition was observed in every group. However, data suggest PRP injection therapy is more effective than minoxidil therapy, and combined therapy is more effective than any of those two treatment alternatives in monotherapy

With PRP vs. Microneedling

So where does platelet-rich plasma (PRP) come into the picture? PRP is the “secret sauce” to the facial—not the red blood cells, as the viral appearance of the treatment may have made you believe. Microneedling can be done with peptide gel, hyaluronic acid serum, or in the case of the “vampire facial,” with platelet-rich plasma.

This treatment
According to Bytner, “PRP contains a concentrated amount of your own platelets that are chock-full of proteins called ‘growth factors’—they are responsible for healing wounds and stimulating collagen. The addition of PRP to microneedling enhances the results, speeds up the healing process, and helps boost cellular renewal. It results in brighter skin that looks and feels younger.” In my opinion? A “vampire facial” is essentially a next-level version of microneedling.
